How do you apply Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate?
For trees, mix 1oz of Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate per 1 inch of distance around the tree and place this amount in 1 gallon of water.
For shrubs, use 3 oz of Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate per foot of height mixed in 1 gallon of water.

When is the best time of the year to apply Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate?
Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate can be applied anytime during the growing season. Late fall applications may be most appropriate for early spring pests such as birch leafminers, aphids, etc. For pests that occur later in the season, late fall or early spring applications are effective.
Do NOT apply this product when the ground is frozen or waterlogged. If the ground is frozen or waterlogged, the material can not soak into the ground and get to the roots.
What insects are controlled by Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate?
If used according to label instructions, Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate will effectively control a number of insects.

A single application of this product provides season-long systemic, 12 months of residual control of insect pests on trees and shrubs.
Does the size of the tree make a difference?
Yes! The use rate is 1 ounce of the product per inch of distance around the tree trunk.
Can I apply Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate to my fruit trees?
Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate is registered and labeled for use around the following fruit and nut trees:
Apple, Crabapple, Loquat, Mayhew, Oriental Pear, Pear, Pecan and Quince
Will this product harm my lawn or plants around the base of my tree?
Depending on plant species and size, translocation may require 1 week to 3 months to reach areas where pests are feeding. For small shrubs and trees, it may take 1 week or more to move to where the pests are feeding. For large shrubs and trees, 2 to 3 months may be required before the product will effectively control pests.
I have a Hemlock tree. When do I apply Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate to control the hemlock woolly adelgid?
Soil treatments should be made when the soil is moist and not frozen or waterlogged.
Fall to early winter (late August to early December) and spring to early summer (mid-March to mid-June) are optimal periods for making soil applications for the hemlock woolly adelgid.
Can I use Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate on rose bushes?
Yes, use 3 oz of Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate per foot of height, put into 1 gallon of water, and pour around the base of the plant.
Can too much rain impact the Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate efficacy?
No! After Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate is applied too much rain will not reduce efficacy, and the systemic action can't be washed off.
Can I pour Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate over my shrubs and get foliar protection?
No, as stated in the Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate label, it must be poured around the base of the plant. Please be sure to always read and follow all label instructions carefully.
Can Bayer Advanced™ Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate be used on flowers, perennials and groundcovers with the same effectiveness?
