Roses are heavy feeders and prefer at least three feedings during the growing season:
- In the spring prior to bud break or at time of planting,
- During the first flowering period, and
- After the first flush of blooms has faded and flowering has declined.

Be sure to use the correct application rate for new roses, established roses, container roses, and other flowers:
- New Roses: Mix 1 Tbs. of plant food with the soil used to refill the planting hole.
- Established Roses: Sprinkle evenly 1/4 cup plant food to feed 4 rose bushes.
- Container Roses: Sprinkle 1 Tbsp. plant food per 8" pot.
- Flowers: Sprinkle 3/4 cup of plant food evenly over a 5''x5'' area. May be worked into top 1/4" of soil if desired.
